Porlex Mini Professional Hand Grinder

If you're ready to start grinding your own coffee, this is where we'd start you. The 2025 Porlex Mini Pro is a proper entry-level hand grinder — ceramic burrs, made in Japan, and good enough that fresh grinding is a step up from the first cup rather than a hobby you have to earn.

Small, stainless and quiet, it holds about 22g of beans — one pour-over dose. It adjusts in fine steps, from espresso-fine to French press, and every part can be replaced, so it'll outlast the phase where you think you need something bigger.
